The Asia Cup 2025 is all set to commence from today (September 9), and India will be starting its campaign from September 10 with the first match against UAE. Even though India were the original hosts of the tournament, the tournament is held in UAE due to political tensions with Pakistan.
A total of eight teams will be participating in the tournament – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman and Hong Kong. India is in Group A with Pakistan, UAE and Oman. The format of Asia Cup is T20 which also serves as a preparation ground for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2026.
