India began their campaign in stunning fashion with a massive 234-run victory over the United Arab Emirates. The young Indian side then continued their dominant run by defeating Pakistan by 90 runs, showing both batting depth and bowling strength. In their final group match, India produced an even more emphatic performance, thrashing Malaysia by a huge margin of 315 runs to seal the top spot convincingly.

Sri Lanka reached the semi-finals after a mixed run in the group stage. They started strongly with back-to-back wins against Nepal and Afghanistan, displaying solid all-round performances. However, their momentum was checked in the final group match, where they suffered a defeat against Bangladesh.

With India entering the semi-final unbeaten and full of confidence, and Sri Lanka looking to bounce back from a setback, the contest promises to be a high-stakes battle. Both teams will be eager to secure a place in the Asia Cup final and continue their quest for the title.
If the semi-final is washed out, India will progress to the final after finishing top of Group A, while Sri Lanka placed second in Group B.
The cut-off time for the match to begin is 2:02 PM IST, as at least 20 overs per side are required even in a shortened game. Rain has stopped in Dubai, and officials are inspecting the ground conditions. If the match is abandoned India will be through to the finals.
If the India vs Sri Lanka U19 semi-final is abandoned due to rain or other reasons, India will advance to the final as they finished at the top of Group A, while Sri Lanka was second in Group B. Similarly, in the second semi-final between Pakistan and Bangladesh, if the match cannot be played, Bangladesh will move to the final for topping Group B, with Pakistan finishing second in Group A. This rule ensures that teams with better group-stage performance progress to the final in case of washed-out matches.
Rain has cleared in Dubai, but the toss for the U19 Asia Cup match is delayed because of a wet outfield. Officials have not yet confirmed when the toss will take place.
