India vs South Africa 4th T20I was delayed due to excessive fog

India and South Africa were set to play the fourth T20I at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow but the match was abandoned due to a very unusual reason. The reason for the match getting called-off is excessive fog - the situation never improved despite many inspections that took place. This is for the first time ever that an international match has been abandoned due to this reason. It is also important to note that this match was a very crucial decider as one win and India could have clinched the series and if Proteas would've won then the series would have been levelled.
