Virat Kohli came in to bat at No. 4 for India on day two of the second Test against New Zealand on Saturday, October 26, at the MCA Stadium, Pune. Kohli’s dismissal left him visibly frustrated, as seen in a viral video when he strikes his bat against an ice container while returning to the pavilion. With Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill both falling early, India relied a lot on Virat Kohli. He briefly contributed 31 runs alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 77, but Kohli couldn’t capitalize on his start. India could score only 245 runs in 60.2 overs against the target of 359 runs and thereby suffered a defeat by 113 runs which terminated a 12-year winning streak over home Test series.

New Zealand Dominate The Series By 2-0
In first series as the full-time New Zealand Test team captain, Tom Latham guided his side to successive triumphs against India. In fact, he is the first Black Caps captain who has emerged victorious in a Test series in India. New Zealand’s first Test tour to India was November 1955. Ahead of this series, New Zealand had won only two Tests on Indian turf. This victory was particularly satisfying for the visitors, with Kane Williamson-New Zealand’s all-time leading Test run scorer-yet to make a return to cricket field due to fitness issues.
