Rohit Sharma made an unwanted mark in cricket history by becoming the first Indian captain to suffer a 0-3 Test series defeat at home. This was the final game of the three-match series at home for India, and Ajaz Patel and Glenn Phillips spun a web around Indian batters to take New Zealand to a 25-run victory and then on to something else more remarkable: whitewashing India in a Test series of three or more matches on Indian soil. The series had begun on a dismal note for India, losing an eight-wicket match in Bengaluru.

Big Shock For Rohit Sharma And Co.

In Pune, India failed to regain under Rohit’s captaincy and lost the match to New Zealand by 113 runs. For the whole series, Rohit managed to score only 91 runs with a strike rate of 68.42 in the three matches played. He is now the first Indian skipper who has faced a 3-0 defeat in a home Test series. The team New Zealand, led by Tom Latham, played fantastically and registered a historic victory by winning all three matches.
