Team India will be keen to bounce back after having lost the first two games of the series against New Zealand and as the third and final Test approaches Wankhede Stadium. It was said that a more levelled pitch was being prepared that would not favor the spinners as much as it did in Pune. It has now emerged that the Indian team has asked the pitch curator to prepare a “rank turner” for the match that is scheduled to start on November 1.
Management Not Satisfied With Wankhede Pitch
According to The Indian Express, the team management was not satisfied with the Wankhede pitch and sought a surface that would provide assistance to spinners from the very first day of play. Mumbai Test is very crucial for the ambition of India to play in the final of World Test Championship. India now stands a significantly decreased probability of reaching the final by losing twice to Kiwis. So, this one is even more crucial after a rather testing five-match series looming in Australia for India.
