IND Vs NZ: BIG SHOCKER! Disastrous Series For THIS Star Batter, Finishes With Less Than 100 Runs

Team India's top order faced a batting collapse on Day of third Test against New Zealand.

The three match-Test series was nothing less than a nightmare for Team India, but what’s even more concerning is Virat Kohli’s Test form. He has clearly struggled to score runs and his performance in the series was absolutely disappointing.

Virat Kohli’s Poor Show Against New Zealand

Virat Kohli witnessed another dismal day in the Mumbai Test against New Zealand as the latter could score only 1 run in the second innings on Sunday, November 3. This marked an underwhelming series for the star batter scoring below 100 runs in a three-match series-a feat that rarely occurs for him.

Kohli was terribly out of form at Wankhede Stadium getting himself run out for a duck on Day 1, when India wanted to make a kill on the last few overs of New Zealand’s first innings as India successfully did so, owing much to Ravindra Jadeja’s historic 10 wicket haul. It started shakily while India was chasing a target as modest as 147. Rohit Sharma fell early to a clueless shot, followed by Shubman Gill being dismissed.

Kohli Stunned After Ajaz Patel Dismisses Him

Kohli came in looking a bit tented as he tried hard to get into his own rhythm, but a quite sensational delivery from New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel sent Kohli to the slips for a duck. Kohli was gone when the team was still at 18, and India lost a couple of more wickets in quick succession, giving the team a precarious start.

A New Low For Virat Kohli

Kohli’s five runs in the Test are the lowest of his career in a game in which he batted in both innings, and the 13 balls that he faced are the fewest that he has faced in any Test in which he went without scoring. Altogether, he scored only 93 runs in 6 innings in the series. His highest score of the series was 70, his second-innings score when batting in the Bengaluru Test.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
