The first Test between India and New Zealand will be starting from October 16, Wednesday and both the countries are set to relive their old rivalry in the Test format. The first of the three match series will be played at the legendary Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. It’s for the first time that this Indian side is using this opportunity to groom up for the all-important Border Gavaskar Trophy which is set to begin in November against Australia. Rohit Sharma and his team will look confident, having beaten Bangladesh from two different ends of the spectrum. They proved themselves resilient at Chennai and that they can totally overpower the bowling attack of the opposition at Kanpur.New Zealand enter this series after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka, and without star batter Kane Williamson for parts of the competition due to injury.
