India ended the T20I series against England with a 4-1 win over England in the T20I series, securing an outstanding 150-run victory in the fifth match against England, hosted at Wankhede. But former England captain Michael Vaughan, , believed that the series ending at 4-1 was not justified, he believes that it should have ended in a 2-2 tie. Vaughan’s comments were in the light of the controversy surrounding the ‘concussion substitute’ incident in the fourth T20I, where Shivam Dube was replaced by Harshit Rana. Vaughan had predicted a 4-1 or 3-2 win for England, but India had defied all expectations to take a dominant series lead.
Vaughan said, “2-2. The last game doesn’t count. India played with 12 players”.
Will India allow England to use all 4 impact subs to Bat .. 😜

India set a new benchmark in the final T20I for the team’s powerplay performance. At 95/1 after six overs, they went past their previous best of 82/2 against Scotland in 2021. Abhishek Sharma played a pivotal role in this record, scoring 58 runs off just 21 balls. He was particularly aggressive and brought up his half-century off just 17 balls, which meant he was the second Indian to make a half-century in such quick time, after Yuvraj Singh’s well-remembered 12-ball fifty in 2007.

Though India were unable to defend their highest ever T20I total as the wickets tumbled in the last overs, the total of 247/9 still ranks as the fourth-highest total in India’s T20I history. It is also important to note that this was India’s highest total in a T20I against England.
