New Delhi: England is set to fight against India in the second semi-final of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. English side continues to struggle ahead of the major game as their key players suffer injuries. Earlier, Dawid Malan was reportedly injured and now Pacer Mark Wood has emerged as the latest concern.
Mark Wood has been an important part of the team as his performance has been crucial in the entire tournament. Bagging 9 wickets at the average of 12.00 and economy rate of 7.71, he has saved England at difficult times.
While playing against Sri Lanka, Malan had suffered a groin injury and was taken from the field. The former world No. 1 did not come back to bat and clouds of doubts are hovering on his fitness.

England vice-captain Moeen Ali is concerned about Malan’s injury and said that it doesn’t look good. While in conversation with BBC, Ali revealed that his injury “doesn’t look great.”
He said, “He is a big player and has been for a number of years. He has been one of our best players. I don’t know but it (Malan’s injury) doesn’t look great.”
“It doesn’t get bigger and better than playing India anywhere in the world because of the crowds and they are such a big side and force in cricket, he added.
