IND Vs AUS: Rishabh Pant Completes A UNIQUE MIlestone At Gabba

India is playing against Australia in 3rd Test at Gabba and Rishabh Pant completed a unique milestone at the iconic venue.

New milestone for Rishabh Pant

On Day 2 of the Gabba Test, Rishabh Pant recalled a moment from MS Dhoni's career by taking a catch to dismiss Usman Khawaja on Sunday, December 15. This marked his 150th dismissal as a wicketkeeper in Test cricket, with a continued run behind the stumps.

A strong start for India

Pant's catch came after Jasprit Bumrah handed India an early breakthrough after dismissing Khawaja and then quickly followed up on the same over by getting the wicket of Nathan McSweeney, thus firmly taking the control of match on Sunday in Brisbane. Pant played flawlessly behind the stump as he showed his caliber after coming back from treatment and is eager to jump back to wicketkeeper's gloves.

Pant Climbs The Dismissal Rankings

Playing 41 Test matches, Pant has totalled 135 catches and 15 stumpings in his kitty. He moved to the third position on the list of Indian wicketkeeper dismissals in Test cricket. MS Dhoni leads with 294 dismissals including 256 catches and 38 stumpings, and Syed Kirmani was second in the list at 198 dismissals of which he had taken 160 catches and 38 stumpings. Pant is closing the gap behind Kirmani.

Completing the list are Kiran More with 130 dismissals, all of them 110 catches and 20 stumpings and Nayan Mongia, with 107 dismissals, comprising 99 catches and 8 stumpings.
