Mitchell Starc wrecked havoc as he claimed three crucial wickets and dismantled India’s top order. He sent back Yashasvi Jaiswal on the very first ball of Day 1. Carrying forward the momentum he picked up wickets of India’s two marquee players Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.
Virat Kohli’s Dismissal
Mitchell Starc strikes again, this time dismissing the star batter Virat Kohli for just seven. Kohli was caught off a short-length delivery on the fifth-sixth stump line just outside the off-stump. He was late to withdraw his bat and the ball edged off the face of the bat and dipped low to Steve Smith at second slip, who took an excellent catch on his knees.

KL Rahul’s Dismissal
Mitchell Starc was on fire as he dismissed the dangerous KL Rahul for 37. Rahul came for another big shot, and the ball took the edge of his bat but it went for a spectacular catch in the gully to Nathan McSweeney. Despite getting saved three time KL Rahul had to walk back after Starc’s delivery.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Dismissal
A display of swing bowling at its best, Starc’s opening spell in the pink-ball Test really shook things up. He sent Jaiswal to the pavilion with a ball that moved just enough to catch the batter’s pads on the leg-stump line, after which, without a chance, he was left stranded when it straightened.
