Earlier on Day 1, Virat Kohli was caught in a heated confrontation with Sam Konstas as the incident took place when Australia won the toss and decided to bat first and Konstas came in as an aggressive cricketer against Indian pacers. Between the 10th and the 11th over of Australia’s innings, Usman Khawaja was switching ends with Konstas, and just at that moment, Virat Kohli was walking towards their ends. The two seemed to make physical contact on purpose; Kohli, for one, appeared to run his body against the young batter while passing.
