It was a stroke of brilliance, Reddy chose the unorthodox play to the length delivery and decided to get out of a standard play by changing the grip and angle to get perfection in reverse scoop.
It was almost perfect timing; it would send the ball sailing over the slip fielders, crossing the boundary for a six. Even Jasprit Bumrah at the non-striker’s end could stop from showing appreciation at the sheer audacity and innovation in this shot. It added just a little bit of style to a contest already so full of it.

People in the stadium were also left surprised that 21-year old player from India could pull off such an amazing shot over such a tough delivery by Boland.
