He had a brilliant outing with his former IPL side Kolkata Knight Riders and led them to win their 3rd IPL title, apart from this, Iyer also leading his current team Punjab Kings very well. There is a high chance, if Gill is not handed the captaincy, it would be Iyer’s chance to lead the Indian Team.
Rishabh Pant
Team India’s wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant has been a brilliant player for Team India for a years now. He played some amazing knocks and created history in many ways like winning the iconic Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2020-21.
Pant led Team India in limited-overs cricket but hasn’t been consistent. Pant might be an alternative for Team India as a skipper but not a permanent solution.
Date Of England Tour
Team India will play 5-Tests in England starting on June 20. Ahead of the main Tour, an India A side will tour England for a two matches. The India A’s Tour was supposed to begin on May 30, after the completion of the IPL 2025.
