The Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir is all set to host a special team dinner at his residence in New Delhi on Wednesday. He will be welcoming the newly appointed Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill with the rest of India’s Test squad ahead of the second Test against West Indies.
The second Test will be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi starting from October 10. India goes into the second Test with confidence after dominant innings and 140 runs victory in the first Test at Ahmedabad. India’s top bowlers were Mohammed Siraj (4/40) and Jasprit Bumrah (3/42) as they restricted West Indies at a mere score of 162.

KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja were the centurions and delivered top notch performance against the Windies. Now the team prepares to face off again at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium – venue which is very dear to Gambhir as well. The pre-match dinner hosted by Gambhir will also be a step towards stronger team-bonding.
After the Test series finished, India will be looking forward towards the three-match ODI series against Australia where Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be seen in action. The ODI squad will be led by Shubman Gill and all eyes will be on his leadership against the mighty Aussies.
