The Delhi Premier League (DPL) is set to return with its much-anticipated Season 2, and eight players have already been retained ahead of the tournament. Launched in 2024, the DPL quickly rose to prominence, serving as a breeding ground for young talent. It played a crucial role in shaping the careers of IPL 2025 breakout stars like Digvesh Rathi and Priyansh Arya, both of whom impressed fans with their dynamic debuts.
Eight Teams Participating In The Tournament
While the inaugural season featured six teams, the upcoming edition will see the addition of two new franchises. The participating teams for Season 2 are: North Delhi Strikers, Central Delhi Kings, Purani Dilli, West Delhi Lions, East Delhi Riders, Outer Delhi Warriors, South Delhi Superstarz, and New Delhi Tigers.

DPL 2025 Auction
The Mega Auction of DPL 2025 will be held on July 6 (Mens) and it will be starting from 10 AM IST. The live streaming will be available om Fancode. Now that every franchise has retained their one player each, they will be entering the auction pool with a purse of INR 1.5 crore. Each franchise will only get one RTM (Right to Match) card to match the highest bid and retain their released player from the auction pool.
