New Delhi: India pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty has created history by reaching to the semi-finals of the French Open.

In the game of quarter-finals, the duo defeated Japanese pair of Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi and reached the semis of the ongoing tournament of French Open in Paris.

They are only two Indian players who have managed to stag in tournament till this stage. Other Indian ace players have been kicked out in the quarterfinals.

Kidambi Srikanth, HS Prannoy and Sameer Verma couldn’t move past their opponents in the quarterfinals and thus, would be returning home.

However, Rankireddy-Shetty will have their battle against Korean pair of Choi Sol Gyu and Kim Won in the semi-finals. If India manage to score win in this, it would be a huge victory for Indian pair.
