Ambati Raydu: Former Team India batsman Ambati Rayudu on Thursday met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy at the Tadepalli camp office.
According to the information, the meeting lasted for more than half an hour. Raydu presented a signed CSK Jersy to Andhra Pradesh CM. Rayudu was part of the Chennai Super Kings team who won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 edition. Raydu announced his retirement from all forms of cricket soon after he concluded the 16th edition of IPL.
Speculation to start political innings intensifies
After Raydu’s meeting with Andhra CM, speculation about Rayudu starting his political innings has intensified. It is being said that Ambati Rayudu is preparing to join the ruling YSR Congress party. According to reports, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has also given the go-ahead for Rayudu to join the party. He may contest as a Lok Sabha candidate in the next year’s general election.
Rayudu has already said goodbye to international cricket. He continues to play in the IPL till now. Even before CSK’s title win, he had announced his retirement from IPL as well.
