The IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals got abandoned due to complete blackout in the stadium. The blackout occurred at the time when India launched Operation Sindoor against Pakistan. The match was abandoned due to increasing security concerns and for the safety of all the players.
1996 World Cup Semi-Final: India vs Sri Lanka - Kolkata
It was one of the darkest moments in the history of cricket that happened in Eden Gardens in Kolkata as fans turned violent and set fires, vandalised the stadium. Due to this uncontrollable situation, the match was stopped and Sri Lanka were declared as winners.
India vs Sri Lanka ODI (2009) - Delhi
The ODI match between India and Sri Lanka which was being played at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium now Arun Jaitley Stadium was called off at 23.2 overs when the match officials deemed the pitch unfit to play.
