India’s batting legend praised Mohammed Siraj for his extraordinary performance in the first innings of the second Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Jasprit Bumrah was rested for the second Test considering his workload management and in his absence Mohammed Siraj took the charge giving India much-needed breakthrough at the right time.
Tendulkar lauded Siraj’s accuracy and consistency calling it the biggest change he has seen. This was also his first five-wicket haul in England, the 31-year old made sure to put India back in dominating position in the game. England seemed to be unstoppable despite India getting early breakthroughs, as Jamie Smith and Harry Brook laid down a solid partnership of 303 runs. Tendulkar also acknowledged the brilliance of Brook and Smith for their counterattacking centuries, which temporarily brought England back into the contest.

At Stumps, India were 64 for 1 in their second innings, leading by 244 runs. KL Rahul (28) and Karun Nair (7) were at the crease, India look determined to level the series and stop England from establishing their dominance.
