An interesting incident occurred on Day 3 of the fifth and final Test between England and India at the Kia Oval in London, involving Ravindra Jadeja and a spectator in the stands. While batting, Jadeja spotted a spectator wearing a bright red T-shirt right in front of him, which appeared to be very distracting. He reported the matter to the on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena.

As a reaction, Dharmasena informed the ground staff and asked that the fan be reseated elsewhere, ideally to the right of Jadeja. Instead of being reseated, however, the fan consented to change his T-shirt. A ground staff member provided him with a grey t-shirt, which he then wore. The move was greeted with a thumbs-up by Jadeja, ending the issue in a sporting manner.
