Despite some mistakes towards the end of the last overs, the duo’s strong stand enabled East Delhi to register a fighting total of 158/8 in 20 overs.
Krish Yadav And Ankit Kumar Almost Pull Off the Chase
West Delhi Lions responded with a careful chase of 159. Krish Yadav steadied the ship with 44 from 39 deliveries, keeping the runs coming. The run-scoring was turned on its head when Ankit Kumar unleashed a ferocious counter-attack, hitting 42 off a mere 16 deliveries, including five mighty sixes and two fours.
His powerful batting reduced the Lions to striking distance, but the Riders kept their cool in the remaining overs.
