In a thrilling encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Central Delhi Kings won by 12 runs over Outer Delhi Warriors, earning valuable points in the tournament. The Kings were successful in defending a humble total of 161, holding the Warriors back to 149/8 after their 20 overs.

Early Struggle For Kings

Having decided to bat first, Central Delhi Kings suffered early blows with opener Yash Dhull getting out at the start, contributing just 2 runs off 6 balls. The top order could not settle and lost wickets at frequent intervals. However, Aditya Bhandari steadied the ship with a crucial score of 41 off 27 balls, providing stability at a critical juncture. His innings, graced by some classy boundaries, helped stabilise the Kings.

Simarjeet Singh, at the end, gave a much-needed impetus, hitting 19 runs off just 8 balls to drive the Kings towards a fighting total of 161/8.

Warriors' Bowlers Shine, But Their Effort Goes In Vain

Outer Delhi’s bowlers put up a commendable show, especially Siddhant Sharma, who led the attack with figures of 3/33 in his four overs. Shivam Sharma also made his mark in the middle overs, keeping things tight with his economical 2/21.

Warriors’ Top Order Collapses

Pursuing 162, the Warriors were off to a dismal beginning, collapsing to 43/5 in the powerplay. The top order collapsed under pressure, leaving the middle order with a long way to go.

Dabas And Tyagi Try But Fall Short

With the game escaping their grasp, Harsh Tyagi and Keshav Dabas staged a valiant counterattack. They contributed 64 runs for the sixth wicket stand, bringing hopes of a comeback alive again. Tyagi scored a solid 31 off 29 balls before getting out at a crucial juncture, slowing down the Warriors' pace once again.

Dabas continued to fight in isolation, scoring a smooth 64 off 45 balls. However, he was also dismissed, caught at long-off by Jasvir Sehrawat when Pranshu Vijayran took his wicket, sealing the victory for the Kings.
