Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s ex-wife Dhanashree Verma made shocking confession about what happened during the divorce proceedings. In a Human of Bombay podcast, Dhanashree Verma mentioned that she was “howling” in court even though she was emotionally prepared for the decision.
Dhanashree also opined about Chahal wearing “Be your own sugar daddy” T-Shirt in court on the final day of decision.
What Happened On The Day Of Divorce?
“I still remember when I was standing there and the verdict was about to be given. Even though we were so well-prepared mentally, I got so emotional. I started howling in front of everybody.” Dhanashree Verma said
“I couldn’t even express what I was feeling at that point. I just remember that I just kept crying, I was just howling and crying. Of course! All of that happened, and he (Chahal) walked out first,” she continued.

“You have to put in an effort. I know how much I have stood up for my partner, and everybody has seen that. Like for the smallest or biggest things, I have been there. Maybe because of that, my emotions came out.”
“How you behave on that particular day is a reflection of you as a person,” she concluded.

Yuzvendra Chahal got married to Dhanashree Verma in 2020. The wedding was held in Gurugram and it was attended by close friends and family. But in 2023, cracks started to develop in their relationship and couple’s social media interactions became very few and they kept on dropping cryptic posts as well. In February 2025, the couple filed a joint petition for divorce and were finally separated later on.
