Cricketer tragically dies after delivering final ball to secure a win for his team

The match was organised by UP Veterans Cricket Association with the teams from Moradabad and Sambhal playing against each other.

A tragic incident unfolded on field during a cricket match in the Bilari block of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. A bowler named Ahmed Khan collapsed on the pitch as he delivered the final ball of the match and died due to heart attack. The incident left everyone numb and even though the people tried to revive him but the efforts went in vain.

The match was organised by UP Veterans Cricket Association with the teams from Moradabad and Sambhal playing against each other. The team from Sambhal needed 14 runs from the last four balls and the ball was in the hands of Ahmed Khan. He only conceded 11 runs in the final over and secured a victory for Moradabad. But the celebration was short-lived as he died of a heart attack moments later.

Khan started breathing heavily and sat down on the ground after which he lay flat on the pitch, this alarmed all the players on the field. All the players rushed to assist him and tried reviving him, he was immediately taken to the hospital but the doctors couldn’t save him.

Ahmar Khan was a resident of Ekta Vihar in Moradabad. News of his sudden demise has plunged his family into deep grief. His death has cast a shadow of mourning over the entire area. He is survived by his wife, two children, a brother, and a sister.
