New Delhi: Pakistan won against South Africa by 33 runs and kept their hopes for semi-finals alive. Choosing to bat first, Pakistan had put 185 runs on board and defended their score successfully in Sydney.

After winning the game, Babar Azam said, “Azam: Very happy the way team performed. We are not upto the mark – me and Rizwan. But the way Haris played – different player – set the momentum. And the way Shadab and Ifti finished the innings – outstanding.”

Babar Azam says every player is my player

“To be honest, everyone is my best player. Everyone is my match-winner. First two losses cost us. But the way we have played last two matches. As you know cricket is funny game. You never know,” he added.

Pakistan win against South Africa by 33 runs

Pak top order could not perform as expected as Babar Azam returned for 6 runs while Mohammad Rizwan went back for just 4 runs. They were followed by Masood for 2 runs.

After half-centuries by Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan. After the Pakistan opened were dismissed cheaply in single digit score, it was middle order that took the responsibilities on their shoulder.
