In Group A, all eyes are on the much-awaited clash between India and New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday, March 2 which will determine the final standings. The outcome of this match will not only decide the group winner but also finalize the semi-final match ups.

If India defeats New Zealand then they will face Australia in the first semi-final on Tuesday, March 4 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This means that New Zealand will play against South Africa in the second semi-final in Lahore. However, if India loses then they will play against South Africa.

As Australia and South Africa prepare for their Champions Trophy semi-final encounters, their travel plans are in doubt due to the uncertainty about their match venues. Both sides will depart for Dubai in preparation for the knockout phase, even though there is a chance that they may be back in Pakistan within 24 hours in case of a semi-final match there.
