Team India enters the Champions Trophy with an impressive 3-0 ODI series win against England and that has given them huge confidence but there are still some areas of concern especially the bowling attack in absence of Jasprit Bumrah. The first match will be against Bangladesh on February 20 and despite the absence of Jasprit Bumrah there are three bowlers who are likely to create tough problems for Bnagladesh.
Arshdeep Singh
The left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh is likely to feature in India’s opening encounter against Bangladesh and he can do wonders with the new ball. Despite lack of experience in ODIs he has the potential to bowl the perfect delivery and the pitch is also expected to offer help the pacers. Till now he has 14 wickets in 9 ODI matches with an economy of 5.17.
Mohammed Shami
Mohammed Shami is India’s top-bowler and he marked his return after a long hiatus. He was India’s top wicket-taker in ODI World Cup 2023 and with Shami’s capability and experience he is likely to lead the bowling lineup.
Ravindra Jadeja
India’s all-rounder is one of the senior players in India’s squad for Champions Trophy. He has showcased excellent form and was the joint second-highest wicket-taker of the series with six wickets in three games with an economy of 3.21.
