Champions Trophy 2025: ‘You Can’t Make…’ – Mohammad Amir FURIOUS After India’s Refusal To Play In Pakistan

The Pakistan government is likely to instruct the Pakistan Cricket Board to withdraw all cricketing engagements with India in any ICC or Asian Cricket Council (ACC) events until the diplomatic row between the two nations is well-settled.

Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Amir has sharply reacted to India’s decision not to play the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already told the ICC that they have not got clearance from the Indian government to play in Pakistan, a stance which has been in place since 2008. While Pakistan had visited India for three series, India has not been forthcoming about returning the favor so far.

‘You Can’t Make Other Teams Suffer’: Says Amir

“This is the loss of cricket, and this shouldn’t have happened. You can’t make other teams suffer because of one team. It would be better to keep India out of the tournament and add another team in their place. It is kiddish to refuse to play in Pakistan when other teams are ready to compete here.

PCB Stands Firm

“There should be a rule in place where ICC has the authority to take strict action against a member board of their government who interferes in cricketing matters. It seems the Pakistan Cricket Board is not going to fall in line this time as Mohsin Naqvi is the country’s interior minister, and he is not going to let Pakistan suffer after spending millions on the upgrades of the stadiums,” Mohammad Amir said in his YouTube Channel

Pakistan Likely To Take A BIG Step

According to several media reports, Pakistan may stage a pull-out from the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy if the hosting rights are taken away because India refuses to come to the country. The Pakistan government is likely to instruct the Pakistan Cricket Board to withdraw all cricketing engagements with India in any ICC or Asian Cricket Council (ACC) events until the diplomatic row between the two nations is well-settled.

The BCCI has suggested that India’s matches be shifted to Dubai, but this is something that the PCB strongly dislikes. Both the Indian players and fans are keen to view bilateral cricket between India and Pakistan as resuming, placing ample importance on such encounters for the future of the sport.
