The International Cricket Council finally came up with the highly-awaited schedule for the Champions Trophy in 2025. The event would take place in a hybrid manner with matches being laid out in Pakistan and in Dubai. All India’s matches will be held in Dubai and the tournament will be starting from February 19.
Historic moment For Pakistan As host
The 2025 Champions Trophy marks a significant achievement for Pakistan, as it hosts a major ICC event for the first time since the 1996 World Cup. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed great pride and excitement over Pakistan’s role in the tournament, reinforcing the nation’s growing significance in global cricket.

Tournament Format And Venues
The Champions Trophy 2025 will see eight teams and will get underway on February 19 with the opening match involving host nation Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. It will conclude with the final on March 9. If India qualifies for the final, the match would be played in Dubai, otherwise, in Lahore.
Pakistan is the host for most of the matches, and three cities will host the major match-ups: Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi. All the cities will host three group matches.
India’s Match Dates In Dubai
All of India’s group-stage matches, including their opening encounter with Bangladesh on February 20 and the much-anticipated clash with Pakistan on February 23, will take place in Dubai. Additionally, Dubai will host the semi-final on March 4, while the second semi-final will be played in Lahore the following day.

Reserve Days & Semi-Final Details
Reserve days will be in place for both semi-finals as well as the final so that the matches can get over, weather permitting. The Dubai leg of the tournament will start on February 20 with India locking horns with Bangladesh, and Group B matches will get underway the following day as Afghanistan face South Africa in Karachi.
