Champions Trophy 2025: Australia Squad Announced! Two Key Stars Return, One Shocking Drop

Australia has announced their 15-member squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which will be starting from February 19.

Australia has announced squad for Champions Trophy 2025 and two big names have been included. Both Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood will be returning back after a lot of speculations on their inclusion. Pat Cummins opted out of Sri Lanka series which begins later this month due to the upcoming birth of his second child, he was also dealing with a minor knee injury.

Josh Hazlewood has also been included in the 15 member squad for Champions Trophy after he was sidelined from Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to calf and side strains.

However, opener Jake Fraser-McGurk has been dropped from the squad, paying the price for his underwhelming performances, particularly during the recent one-day series against Pakistan, where he opened the batting for Australia. The eight-nation Champions Trophy will take place from February 19 to March 9 and will be hosted across Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
