The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is set to start from November 22, the series is very crucial for India in order to gain a spot a WTC final, India needs to 4 wins to do so. Ahead of the prestigious series two key players KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel are set to join the India A squad. These two players will be a part of India A’s final unofficial red-ball match against Australia A this will be held in Melbourne.
KL Rahul has only played three Test matches since September but he has witnessed dip in form as he was not able to perform. He just scored 118 runs, this includes only one fifty and a duck in two series. But Rahul did not receive the required backing and was dropped in the third Test against New Zealand.

KL Rahul & Dhruv Jurel Set To Join India A Squad
According to a report by The Indian Express the team management and selectors have sent Rahul and Jurel to Australia early because they do not have enough match practice. The BCCI has also canceled India’s only scheduled practice match against India A before the beginning of the Border-Gavaskar series in Perth. Instead, the team will play a center-wicket match simulation. The Indian team is scheduled to leave for Australia on November 10. India has slipped to second position in the points table after their first-ever whitewash at home in a Test series; they have to avoid any losses or more than one draw against Australia to make it to the WTC final.
