Sanjay Manjrekar has come out to support the first Test call up for Harshit Rana for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia. He believes Harshit is a great pick for the tour and applauds whatever he has seen from the young pacer so far. Harshit is part of an 18-player India squad that has included Nitish Reddy and Abhimanyu Easwaran as the three uncapped players. He is going to be a part of the pace attack led by Jasprit Bumrah that also includes Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, and Prasidh Krishna.
‘I Like Harshit Rana’: Says Manjrekar
“That tends to happen. If you look at every tour that India has been overseas, you would have one player who is playing one of his first Test matches or on his first tour as well, and that happens to all teams,” Manjrekar told Star Sports.”Very rarely do you get these days four or five bowlers with all of them having a lot of experience. However, I like Harshit Rana, whatever we have seen of him. I think Harshit Rana is a good pick for Australia,” the former India batter added.

He impressed during a Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Odisha at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to mark this significant moment.
