Mayank Yadav made an outstanding international debut. He was fantastic as a pacer, and he began by a maiden over at the very start of his international career. He ended his four over spell with a wicket while going for just 21 runs off his four overs.
Mayank Yadav’s Impressive Debut Against Bangladesh
The 22-year-old lad bowled well and over 140 kmph. He also showed control by holding on to an unbelievably disciplined line and length that went on to restrict the Bangladesh batters. While he didn’t touch even 150 kmph on any of the deliveries, he was consistently bowling above 140 kmph during 17 of his 24 deliveries. Even though he hadn’t played competitive cricket for months since suffering a back injury during IPL 2024, selectors did not hesitate to pick Mayank in the Indian team.

Basit Ali Backs Mayank Yadav’s Selection
Former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali took a leading edge with his debut performance, suggesting that if he stays fit, he should be considered for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
“It was a dream debut for Mayank Yadav. He started off with a maiden and even clocked 149.9 kmph. He has come from an injury, which is why his speeds have not been 157 or 158. Just imagine if he had been given the new ball instead of Hardik Pandya. He instilled fear. If you guys saw the match, batters did not play him on the front foot. I hope that he remains fit and goes to Australia,” Basit said on his YouTube channel.
India asserted their supremacy with first win of the series, the ‘Men in Blue’ completely dominated Bangladesh.
