Bihar skipper Sakibul Gani has created history as he record the quickest century by an Indian in List A cricket during match against Arunachal Pradesh on December 24, Wednesday at the JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi.
Sakibul Gani smashes fastest List A ton
The 26-year old batter reached the milestone in just 32 deliveries and he surpassed the pervious record set by Anmolpreet Singh in 2024 who smashed a ton in 35 balls. Gani’s magnificent knock included 10 boundaries and 12 sixes – he remained unbeaten on 128 off just 40 balls.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi – Youngest Indian to score List A century
Vaibhav Suryavanshi on the other hand still remains the youngest to achieve the fastest century in List A. At just 14 years and 272 days, he has now become the youngest batter in Men’s List A cricket to score a century. Suryavanshi achieved the milestone on the opening day of Vijay Hazare Trophy playing against Arunachal Pradesh in Ranchi. Remarkably, this came in only his seventh List A match, after making his debut against Madhya Pradesh in December 2024.

Ayush Loharuka’s century and Bihar’s world record
Bihar also set a new world-record of highest ever one day total – 574/6 against Arunachal Pradesh. After Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Sakibul Gani and Ayush Loharuka (106) wrecked havoc on field with their outstanding performance. Piyush Kumar Singh also made a significant contribution, scoring a fluent 77 from 66 balls that included seven fours and two sixes.
With multiple batters stepping up to perform, Arunachal Pradesh was left in crumbles while Bihar remained unstoppable and kept breaking multiple records on opening day of Vijay Hazare Trophy.
