The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to bring in new regulations which will require all the teams to obtain prior approval from the relevant authorities before conducting any victory celebration. The decision will come after RCB’s victory celebration turned fatal due to the Bengaluru stampede that happened near the M Chinnaswamny Stadium. The stampede claimed 11 lives and left 30 people injured.
RCB had won their maiden IPL title after defeating Punjab Kings in the final which was held in Ahmedabad. The investigations continue and the BCCI even appointed a three-member committee to establish guidelines for post-tournament celebrations.

“The draft (report) will be ready within 15 days as decided, so by June 30.” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the panel will also make it mandatory for any winning team to first get all the permissions from the state government concerned which will also include the police. It is also expected that the clearance will also be taken from BCCI.
After winning the IPL, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) held a celebration in Chinnaswamny Stadium which had the capacity of approx. 30,000 people but massive crowd of almost 2 lakh people turned up which triggered a deadly stampede.
