Team India has been dealing with constant setbacks and BCCI has been facing quite a dilemma to figure out the team combinations and loopholes. In the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Australia defeated India by 3-1 and clinched the series. From youngsters to experienced players the consistency to score runs was very evident. Infact the bowling lineup also looked dependant on Jasprit Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah was the sole warrior who stood of for the team in tough situations and bagged 32 wickets, the highest for the tournament.
After the BGT concluded BCCI held a review meeting where captain Rohit Sharma, coach Gautam Gambhir and all the members of Ajit Agarkar led selection committee were present.
According to reports, now Mufaddal Vohra took to X (Formerly Twitter) and mentioned that new guidelines from BCCI have been released.

Seriously PCB level stuff. what is the fault of Wives, are they playing on the field. Players should be accountable based on their performance but here board is just hiding behind the useless issues.

Fans have had mixed reactions to the newly introduced guidelines, with some expressing criticism over the restrictions placed on cricketers’ wives during the tour, particularly the limited time allowed for their presence. On the other hand, many supporters have praised the decision, viewing it as a necessary step to ensure the players remain focused and committed to the game. While the debate continues, the move has sparked significant discussion about balancing personal life with professional responsibilities.
As per now there’s no official statement by BCCI but if this happens then it will be the most drastic measure taken.
