Bengaluru cricket fans might be miss a chance to watch Virat Kohli play live at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Wednesday, December 24. This might happen because the government is set to direct the KSCA to hold matches without spectators according to a report by ESPNCricinfo.
Earlier, the KSCA suggested that only two stands will be open to public which will be able to accommodate around 2,000-3,000 spectators. However, the government opposed this plan, citing “security and compliance concerns,” even as work continues to address multiple safety issues at the stadium.

According to sources of ESPNCricinfo, the state government is avoiding crowd management issues during the holiday season especially when high profile players like Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant are playing.
The Delhi Cricket Team will be playing five league matches in Alur, which is on the outskirts of Bengaluru and the other two will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium – Kohli’s home ground for his IPL team Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
