New Delhi: Pakistan marked 7 wickets win against New Zealand in the first semi-finals of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. Brilliant performances by batters and bowlers powered Pakistan to clinch the much-needed win the tournament.

After winning the tournament, Pakistan captain Babar Azam said that it felt like playing at home as the crowd was so cheerful.

Babar Azam says THIS after winning against New Zealand 

“Thanks to the crowd. We feel like we’re playing at home. Got a good start with the first 6 overs with the ball. Later on the ball didn’t come on well. Fast bowlers finished well. We planned before going that we’ll utilise the powerplay. He’s a young guy and showing his aggression (Haris). He’s playing very well. We’re going to enjoy this moment. But at the same time have focus on the final,” said Babar Azam.

 Pakistan choke New Zealand in all areas

After choosing to bat first, New Zealand could only make 152 runs and Pakistan chased it effortlessly, Powerful performance of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan helped Pakistan reach the finale of the tournament.

From the very start of the game, Pakistan dominated the semi-final as they dismissed many of their prominent players. Batting first, Kiwis lost early wickets of Finn Allen, Glenn Phillips and Devon Conway. Shaheen Shah Afridi choked the opposition and got his team brilliant results.

When Pakistan has come to bat against New Zealand, they garnered 105 runs for the opening wicket. Pakistan batter Babar Azam finally came back in form and scored 53 runs playing 42 balls, giving great support to Mohammad Rizwan.
