The Australia squad for Champions Trophy will be led by Steve Smith and one of the biggest change is that Mitchell Starc has withdrawn due to personal reasons. Cricket Australia has chosen to keep the specifics private and Starc’s reason confidential.
Mitchell Starc OUT, New Faces IN
With Marcus Stoinis having retired and Mitchell Marsh sidelined due to injury, the selectors have called up Ben Dwarshuis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Spencer Johnson, Tanveer Sangha, and Sean Abbott to join the 15-player squad. Cooper Connolly will travel with the team as a reserve.
