In Jasprit Bumrah’s absence, the bowling didn’t seem to know where it was going and, consequently, the batters failed to deliver. This contrasted starkly with Scott Boland and Pat Cummins’s disciplined spells, which exposed India’s tail in the morning session of Day 3. It was those last four wickets that the Aussies took for just 16 runs.
