The first T20I of a three-match series at The Gabba in Brisbane is today, the third day of November 14, there is some rain interference. The much-awaited opening match is expected to be in for a drubbing due to rain in the forecast.
Rain and storms have drummed into the city of Brisbane since Wednesday, November 13. The current situation is still not good, the match remains under the weather as there’s still lightening and moderate rain. A minor flood warning has also been issued by AccWeather.com for the region from Wednesday through Thursday although the stadium is not expected to be impacted. Still, those warnings might cause a few disruptions across the match.
Apart from the showers, threats of heavy thunderstorms in the district do not help to clear up uncertainty. According to the most recent weather update, Brisbane is expected to have turbulent weather. It will range between 32°C to 38°C with a volume of 73% chance of rain during the afternoon with 15% chance of thunderstorms. Instead, the earlier half of the day will be sunny and there is a chance for clouding later at around 1 PM.
The winds will be moderate in speed, with the wind blowing from northwest at 15 km/h at moments of gusts up to 39 km/h. Considering the conditions, fans should prepare to hold on to hope for not too long delays in the course of the match.
As per the recent update, the rain has stopped but the ground remains under cover. It is likely that after an hour a decision will be taken if the match needs to be called off or it will be reduced to five overs.
