India and Australia will be playing their 4th T20I and with series on line both the teams will now be focused on bagging a win. One of the major boost for Australia is that Glenn Maxwell might return back in the playing XI for the 4th T20I which will be played at the Carrara Oval in Queensland.
Maxwell hasn’t played competitive cricket since September as he suffered a serious injury while practicing in nets at Mount Maunganui before the three match series against New Zealand. He was bowling to Mitchell Owen and the ball came right towards him striking him on his forearm. The scans revealed that it was a fracture and that kept him out of the series.
Now Maxwell is fully fit and will likely return in the playing XI for the 4th T20I against Australia. Many important players have already left to prepare for the Ashes – Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head and Sean Abbott have left. Hence, Ben Dwarshuis is likely to be called up in the playing XI. For India, there are not many changes, only Kuldeep Yadav has been released to feature in India A vs South Africa A match.
Australia Likely Playing XI: Matt Short, Mitchell Marsh (capt), Josh Inglis (wk), Tim David, Xavier Bartlett, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Mitch Owen, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Matt Kuhnemann
