India played the third T20I against Australia at the Ninja Stadium, known more commonly as Bellerive Oval. This time Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first following which Australia scored 186 runs. Arshdeep Singh was the star bowler for India and was named as the ‘Player of the Match’ – he brought in early breakthroughs and took 3 wickets by giving away just 35 runs. He took some crucial wickets and dismissed Travis Head, Josh Inglis and Marcus Stoinis. Varun Chakaravarthy also shined and spun his way to pick 2 wickets, he dismissed the Aussie skipper Mitchell Marsh and Mitchell Owen.
For Australia, Tim David stole the spotlight with his dashing performance as he scored 74 runs in just 38 balls. Marcus Stoinis also joined later on and scored 64 runs which was very crucial in setting a competitive target of 186.

In the second innings, Abhishek Sharma started strong but was dismissed at the score of 25 runs by Nathan Ellis. He then dismissed Shubman Gill as Ellis bowled a fuller one rightly directed towards the stumps. Gill was trying to flick the shot towards the pocket at deep mid-wicket but he missed.
Nathan Ellis was the top bowler for Australia, he then dismissed Axar Patel (17). Due to his bowling all the batters remained on their toes. Xavier Bartlett then came in and sent back Tilak Varma (19).
For India, Washington Sundar turned the tables and played an impressive knock. Even though he missed his half-century by one run. India emerged to be victorious and now the series is levelled by 1-1. Jitesh Sharma also played a great cameo of 22 runs and supported Washington Sundar in building a match-winning partnership.
