The Australia squad for 2nd Test has been announced and one of the major update is that Pat Cummins still remains out. This means that Steve Smith will be leading the squad as stand-in skipper, while Cummins recovers from injury.
Australia Squad: Steve Smith (C), Khawaja, Weatherald, Labuschange, Head, Green, Webster, Carey, Inglis, Lyon, Starc, Boland, Naser, Doggett

Both Sean Abott and Josh Hazlewood will also be missing the Brisbane Test. The second Test will be starting from December 4 and the Aussies are already in a dominant position after they won the first match. England on the other hand will be looking forward to bounce back and register a win.
It was also expected that Pat Cummins will be making a return as he was seen training with the pink ball. But he clearly mentioned that there was a “half chance” of his return. Now that he won’t be a part of Brisbane Test, Cummins will be hoping to gain full recovery and feature in the third Test.
“It’s on track and pulling up pretty well. [I’m] half a chance for the next game. I’m pretty hopeful, and it’s probably better than it was a few weeks ago,” Cummins said on the Fox Sports broadcast.
Australia is currently leading the series by 1-0, while England are in a tough spot and hungry to register a win in the upcoming Test.
