Arshdeep Singh became India’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is, he surpassed Yuzvendra Chahal who has 96 wickets. Now Arshdeep has 97 wickets and is poised to become the first Indian to breach 100-wicket mark in he shortest format. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has 90 wickets sitting at third place in the competition.

Arshdeep Singh’s Rise Since Debut
Arshdeep Singh made his T20I debut against England in 2022 and became a name known in every Indian household, his impressive performances also earned him a spot in T20 World Cup 2022. Going further in T20 World Cup 2024 he took 17 wickets and finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker of the tournament.

Arshdeep Singh’s achievement of becoming India’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is in less than three years is a testament to his skill and consistency. Given his exceptional form, he is set to dominate India’s pace attack for years to come and could eventually breach the 300-wicket mark in T20Is. On the global front, the highest wicket-taker in T20I cricket is New Zealand’s Tim Southee, with 164 wickets, followed closely by Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan at 161 wickets, but Arshdeep is rapidly climbing the ranks and making his mark on the world stage.
