The dynamic West Indian batter, Nicholas Pooran made a headlines by smashing most sixes in a calendar year in T20 cricket during the ongoing Caribbean Premier League. In a match against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Pooran smashed 93 runs off 43 balls.
Thanks to his flamboyant batting, the southpaw surpassed legendary Chris Gayle’s record for most T20 sixes in a calendar year.

Pooran has a tally of 139 sixes so far in 2024, overtaking Gayle’s record of 135 sixes, which he accomplished in 2015.
So far this year, Pooran also accumulated 1,844 runs, placing him on third position behind Alex Hales and Mohammad Rizwan.
