CONMEBOL FIFA Qualifiers: Ecuador Outplays Venezuela In A Commanding 2-1 Win

Ecuador ended the match with a 2-1 win after Venezuela scored a late goal from Jhon Cádiz during the extra time but they were unable to catch up.

The CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualifier match between Ecuador and Venezuela began at 2:30 am Indian Time with high intensity. Ecuador began their scoring in the 39th minute when Enner Valencia scored a goal with an assist from Piero Vite. With an assist from Piero Vite Valencia scored his second goal to give Ecuador a double lead shortly after the half started. Ecuador ended the match with a 2-1 win after Venezuela scored a late goal from Jhon Cádiz during the extra time but they were unable to catch up to Ecuador. The match witnessed many substitutions and received multiple yellow cards as well as a missed penalty shot by Valencia until the match reached its conclusion.

Ecuador’s Tactical Control And Dominant Gameplay

Ecuador controlled the match by keeping their gameplay tight and maintaining control of both the ball and speed of the match. A well-organised defence restricted Venezuela from building attacks in the Ecuadorian side of the field yet their midfield provided crucial support to their attacking players. Through his two goals Enner Valencia demonstrated how Ecuador could effectively attack while playing for the team. Ecuador kept control throughout most of the match because their disciplined tactical approach. Plays of substitution in the later minutes by Venezuela failed to alter the match results because Ecuador maintained absolute control of the game through their effective execution along with their solid gameplay.

Ecuador’s Expected Victory And Venezuela’s Attacking Challenges

Fans considered Ecuador the favourite combination of better players along with their home pitch advantage. The early goals and maintaining game dominance from Ecuador matched the anticipated results. During the match Venezuela failed to establish binding scoring opportunities but finally netted their goal after normal playing time had ended. The team of Ecuador would have recorded a bigger victory against Venezuela if Valencia had successfully executed his penalty. Venezuela must enhance their attacking performance because their current level cannot succeed against stronger opponents in upcoming games.
