John Cena is on his retirement tour. The Cenation Leader has battled a number of big-name stars from his past this year, including Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and CM Punk. But after Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the new Intercontinental Champion during the last week’s RAW, Punk took to Instagram to pen a heartbreaking letter to The GOAT.
Heartfelt Note From CM Punk Directed At John Cena
Although the backstage picture uploaded by The Second City Saint involved Cody Rhodes as well, his message seemed directed at the 17-time World Champion. He thanked Cena for the countless memories, lessons, competition, and their legendary rivalry.

“Thank you for the stories, the memories, the lessons. Thank you for the competition. The rivalries and the teamwork alike. Side by side. The view changes. Thank you for the house,” he wrote.

His popularity grew due to his “Doctor of Thuganomics” character before he became WWE’s franchise player and a record 17-time World Champion. He is currently on his farewell tour ahead of his final in-ring match, courtesy of two decades filled with championship reigns, Royal Rumble wins, and WrestleMania main events.
